My fingernails and toenails are constaly painted. But a few weeks ago I took off my polish. I usually wear dark colors. My toenails are pretty yellow, except for the areas near the cuticle. Same for the fingernails. Every nail is yellow. So I'm sure it's just stained, but when it comes to my feet....One or two of my toenails have a horizontal line running across it. I can feel the line, thinking it was old topcoat or something but it doesn't come off. Also, when I trimmed my toenails the other day I noticed one of them was slightly " brittle" and it felt and looked a little thicker than usual. It was really slight, it wasn't totall obvious something was wrong but I just noticed it felt a little different.Should I just leave my toenails alone or do I need to get some kinda toenail fungus medicine from the store? How do I know if my nails are just stained or if there's actually a problem?
Acrylic nail fungus - is it my manicurists fault?
I have had acrylic nails for over 10 years and have been going to my gal for the past 3. She is definitely not cheap I get my nails filled every 2 weeks like clockwork. Two weeks ago, I developed green fungus under my thumb about 2 days after my fill. I went back for my usual fill and now I have it under a different nail, this time it showed up about 3 days after my fill. I have never had fungus before and my nails do not seem to be lifting at least not so soon after a fill . Is it my manicurists fault? Should I continue going to her or find someone else? She says it is my fault because I pick at my nails, but I have braces, so picking is very difficult for me.

Nail Fungus?
I've had the nail extentions for about a month. It's just my luck that I just started getting them done again I might have nail fungus. Its almost right in the middle of the nail and it looks like a green smudge. I can't really tell coz of the powder filling that they put on it. When I got it done, I noticed it but the guy didn't say anything so I didn't think much of it. But now its bugging me and I keep staring at it. Nail fungus that I've seen was yellow and made the nail all brittle and yucky looking. How can you tell if it is nail fungus?
